Auction FAQ

You don’t have to register to see auction items but you do have to register if you wish to place a bid.

Buy It Now allows you to buy the item right now without having to wait for the auction to run its course. This makes the item unavailable to anyone else who may see it after you, as the auction will be marked as “Ended”. If you fall in love with something and simply can’t take the chance someone else will outbid you then Buy It Now is for you 🙂

If you choose Buy It Now you must pay for the item right away and it will ship within 24 – 48 hours after your completed purchase.

All won auction items will ship within 24 – 48 hours after your completed purchase.

Olympic Medal Auction winners will have their medal hand delivered by Greg. Details will be discussed after close of Auction, with receipt of payment. 

When you decide to bid on an item you will be asked your maximum bid. Our system will automatically place necessary bids for you in the lowest increments possible to keep you in the auction, until your maximum is reached.

If someone outbids your maximum, you will receive an email right away notifying you and giving you the option to place a higher bid. Of course, the other bidder(s) also will receive notice that you’ve outbid them and be given the chance to place a higher bid than yours. It’s important that your email address is correct and that you can keep an eye on your inbox while the auction is live.

If any bids are received within 30 minutes of an auction end time, the auction will be extended by 60 minutes to allow all bidders a chance to place a higher bid.

All end times are noted on items.

At any time you can choose the Buy It Now button, if available for the item you’re interested in.

All auction items must be paid for within 48 hours of auction close time.

All Buy It Now purchases of Auction Items must be paid for right away.
If you choose Buy It Now and do not pay in full or with Affirm payment options immediately your transaction will be cancelled and the item(s) will remain open for bidding.

Since some items are priced higher due to their one-of-a-kind and iconic nature, we have partnered with Affirm to offer payment options. Every item on this site $50 or more can be purchased with Affirm payment options, which allows you to spread the cost out over time – with or without interest. 

Affirm payment options will appear on each regular sale item’s listing page and in the cart. For auction items the options will appear in your cart only. We believe them to be the most flexible provider of these services and hope you appreciate the options available.
