1984 Olympic Gold Medal: Diving, Men’s 3M Springboard

-

This is THE FIRST Olympic Gold Greg Louganis would win. It’s incredible to think of that when we’ve known him as the GOAT of his sport for so many decades. This gold medal was presented to Greg in Los Angeles, California on August 8, 1984 for winning the Men’s Diving 3 Meter Springboard event. Greg won both the platform and the springboard events in 1984, winning his first gold medals in his home Country and State!

Note that we also will include Greg’s autographed scorecard showing his winning score of 754.41 on Springboard in the Los Angeles 1984 Olympics. In addition there is a letter from Senator Strom Thurmond and an autographed photo of Greg on the podium after receiving this medal.

This medal represents Greg Louganis’ personal best score ever for Springboard, 754.41 – a whopping 90 point lead over the Silver medalist.

This medal has recently been restored to it’s original luster.
