1988 Olympic Gold Medal: Diving, Men’s 10M Platform

This gold medal was presented to Greg in Seoul, Korea for winning the Men’s Diving 10 Meter Platform event. Greg won both the platform and the springboard events in 1988, after hitting his head during the springboard preliminaries, resulting in a concussion. Nearly one week after that, on September 27, 1988, Greg scored an almost perfect 86.70 points on his final dive to win by a narrow margin of just 1.14 points.

This medal was recently restored to it’s original luster.
